Traceability and anti-counterfeit policy

What ships with an order, and the rules we follow to keep counterfeit parts out of your build.

Product supplied by J.P. Electronics under its authorised distribution agreements comes in original manufacturer packaging with date codes and lot traceability, supported by a certificate of conformance and RoHS and REACH documentation on request. J.P. Electronics does not sell loose-pack items.

What documentation comes with an order?

DocumentWhat it tells you
Certificate of conformanceThe parts supplied match the manufacturer part number ordered
Date and lot codesWhen and in which batch the parts were made, traceable to the manufacturer
RoHS and REACH declarationsCompliance status for the part, from manufacturer documentation
Manufacturer packagingOriginal reels, tubes and trays — we do not sell loose-pack items

Anti-counterfeit policy

Counterfeit components enter the supply chain through the open market, not through the authorised channel. Our policy is built on that fact:

RuleWhat it means in practice
Authorised channel firstProduct for the lines we represent comes from the manufacturer under our distribution agreements, never from the open market
Named source for everything elseWhere we source a part outside our own lines, we tell you what the source is rather than leaving you to assume
Original packaging onlyParts ship in the manufacturer's packaging with labels intact. No re-marked, re-balled or loose-pack product
Documentation with every shipmentCertificate of conformance and traceability provided, so your incoming inspection has something to check against
Lifecycle honestyLifecycle status is taken from the manufacturer's own notices, never a third-party feed

This policy is drafted for internal adoption. Once approved it becomes the published policy referenced in our terms of sale.
